About the Journal

The Journal of Arts, Society, and Societal Transformation (JASST) is a peer‑reviewed scholarly journal published by FRIE. JASST is slated to launch in 2026, offering a dedicated platform for research exploring the intersections between arts, society, culture, and social change. The journal welcomes original research articles, critical essays, review papers, and case studies in areas such as visual and performing arts, cultural studies, social transformation, community arts, media, and societal development. JASST encourages interdisciplinary submissions combining perspectives from sociology, anthropology, cultural studies, art history, media studies, and social policy — especially where art and culture intersect social change and community dynamics. Manuscripts submitted to JASST undergo a rigorous peer‑review process to ensure academic quality, methodological rigor, clarity, and relevance.

The journal welcomes contributions from scholars, artists, social activists, policymakers, and practitioners worldwide. JASST aims to highlight how arts and cultural expression influence societal transformation, identity, community cohesion, and social justice. The journal emphasizes ethical, inclusive, and context‑sensitive scholarship, respecting cultural diversity, social equity, and community voices. Through its publications, JASST seeks to foster dialogue, reflection, and research that uses arts as a medium to understand and influence social change and collective well‑being globally.
