Note on Awards Offered by the FRIE Social Sciences Society – 2025
The Foundation for Research, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship (FRIE) Social Sciences Society is pleased to announce the institution of Awards for the year 2025 to recognize excellence, dedication, and innovation in the fields of social sciences, humanities, and interdisciplinary studies. These awards will honour professionals, academicians, researchers, and practitioners who have made remarkable contributions to advancing knowledge, fostering innovation, and shaping the future of social sciences for societal progress.
Proposed Award Categories
General Categories
- Lifetime Achievement Award – for distinguished service and outstanding contributions to the field of social sciences and humanities.
- Excellence in Teaching – for innovative and impactful teaching practices in disciplines of social sciences, including sociology, political science, psychology, economics, history, and related fields.
- Young Researcher – for early-career researchers (below 40 years) who have demonstrated excellence in publications, projects, or innovations within the domain of social sciences.
- Innovative Social Initiative – for outstanding initiatives, programs, or projects that have demonstrated creativity, sustainability, and positive social impact.
- Best Research Paper – for high-quality, original, and impactful research publications in peer-reviewed journals related to social sciences and allied disciplines.
Special Recognition Categories
- Women Achiever in Social Sciences – to honor exemplary contributions by women professionals, academicians, or researchers in the social sciences.
- Policy and Practice Integration – for institutions, organizations, or individuals who have successfully connected academic knowledge with policy-making or community practice.
- Best Student Innovator – for undergraduate or postgraduate students who have displayed exceptional talent in innovation, research, or projects with social relevance.
- Community Impact – for initiatives, campaigns, or interventions that have positively contributed to societal well-being and development.
- Outstanding Mentor – for academicians or professionals who have guided students, researchers, or practitioners towards excellence in the social sciences.
Nominations for the awards will open on 1 January 2026 and close on 15 February 2026. Eligible professionals, scholars, and practitioners in the field of social sciences are invited to submit their nominations within this period.
The evaluation process will be conducted by a distinguished jury comprising five eminent professors in the related fields of social sciences. The assessment will be based on academic and professional achievements, innovative research practices, leadership, and contributions to the advancement of knowledge and society through the social sciences.
The award presentation ceremony will be held in March 2026, during a special function organized by the FRIE Social Sciences Society.
Through these awards, FRIE seeks to honor and celebrate outstanding contributions in the social sciences, thereby encouraging professionals and researchers to continue their pursuit of excellence, innovation, and service to society.
